Welcome to the website of the IO Institute of Linguistics. Teaching Grammar The IO Institute of Linguistics runs professional development training for school teachers. We focus on preparing teachers to teach grammar in line with the new national curriculum. We offer materials to support teachers in presenting grammar to school students. A sample of these materials are available freely on this website. You can download excercises targeting years 6, 7, 8 or 9 (10 coming soon). Who are IO Linguistics The IO Institute of Linguistics is a partnership currently consisting of Daniel Midgley and Mark Ellison. Between us we have more than 20 years teaching linguistics and related subjects, on three continents. IO Linguistics News Very soon now!
